The Ultimate Oxymoron
Can one really be a feminist if one is a Stay At Home Mom? Women have fought for equal rights for decades now. We're not there yet. In some places in the world not even close to that. In some places we're getting closer, but exactly in those places- it sometimes feels like there's only one way to be a feminist. That way involves taking all these opportunities and using them- just because we've fought for them, or at least someone did- for us. Whether or not we want to take advantage of our right to do anything only men used to do up until a few decades ago - isn't always a question we ask ourselves. A woman who choses to do what used to be a traditional female role- is often considered not a feminist. I do think that this definition is starting to become more flexible, but that will take time. At some point what a woman does for a living, the life choices she makes and her believes- won't necessarily become who she is entirely- and won't be the only th
